"The Project House" - Basement
It was funny because the basement was the first room I decided to tackle. It's really a solid basement and all it needed was a lot of cleaning and some paint. Of course I decided to build a work bench and made some other improvements. A few things we improved were: creating a working drain; replacing the insulation; and glass block windows are the next project.

Before - The basement was very dark and dingy when I purchased it with the green floors and yellow walls. You can also see the sorry excuse for a workbench in this photo...
Now this is a workbench. I later added a shoplight and vice and made use of the peg board to hang tools.
The grey floor paint and bright white walls were a big improvement. For some reason the previous couple liked to line the walls with carpet sample squares...?...
Almost there... You can see the large 200 amp box on the wall in the background of this shot. This upgrade and all the wiring in the house was done by master electrician Vince Ahlers.
Before... After...
