"The Project House" - LV/DR

Before - It was a pretty basic living room/dining room with some very 60's carpet but I knew that after adding some color and refinishing the floors it would be a great room.
|
After the paint (ceiling, Greg Meinhardt helped with the walls and they turned out great, and trim) new fixtures and a ceiling fan it was starting to look a lot better, but what about the floors...

| The floors were in pretty rough shape, a lot worse than we expected. My friend Kevin Ritz pulled up the old carpet, carpet pad, and every staple...well almost every one. It was a ton of work but he volunteered to help and I really appreciated it. | It took quite a bit of sanding and my Dad really came through for me and did the majority of the sanding of the floors during the day for a few days. |

| Three coats of polyurethane later and the floors turned out better than I could have imagined... | After - Add some much needed furniture and Ritz's giant TV and it's a very relaxing and enjoyable center of the house. |

| After... | Front Porch - I also have a front porch but it didn't need much work beyond painting the ceiling, walls, and trim around the window and door into the living room. |
