"The Project House" - Exterior/Outside

With the inside of the house completely remodeled, I was out of indoor projects for the time being so I moved to the outside. The first two goals were to, one, change the color scheme of the outside of the house and two, run electrical out to the garage so I can install a garage door opener before the snow falls.
Both turned out to be bigger projects than I anticipated but they are on schedule and coming together nicely... with a lot of hard work of course. |

| The west side was overgrown with vines (this photo doesn't do it justice, this spring the side was covered in thick green vines reaching up to the attic window) so tearing them down and digging out the roots was quite a chore. I would like to plant some evergreen plants this to add some color to the side of the house. | |

| I had to dig a 2 ft deep and 80 ft long trench to get electrical out to the garage and anyone that has done landscaping will tell you that you don't do this job with a shovel ... enter the rented trencher. This beast would dig a trench 4 ft straight down (it was the only one they had in service at the time). |

| Before - the driveway was in desperate need of sealcoating and luckily Menard's was having a great sale because it took 100 gallons (20 - 5gal buckets) of the sealcoating product to cover the 80' long driveway. | Coming Soon ( I need to take a new photo of the driveway) |

| Final Garage - Front View The garage turned out great. We replaced some of the trim; primed and painted (2 coats ext latex) the entire garage including the trim; and now have to install the garage door to complete the project. |
Sod - I also decided to sod the this area by the house because it formerly housed hundreds of rocks and a whole lot of dirt. I think this will be a big improvement over the dirt pile. |
